Building on the momentum gained from recent workshops to consider value addition from organic residues in fruit & vegetable value chains and livestock value-chains, GreenCape has developed three reports highlighting investment opportunities in these areas namely:
- Agro-processing wastewater
- Livestock wastes (focusing on manure and abattoirs)
- Lignocellulose (wood) waste
These reports provide a basic understanding of landscape in these markets in the Western Cape as well as key stakeholders that are currently operating in these markets. A short Strength-Weakness Opportunity-Threats (SWOT) analysis for international investors is also provided. While aimed at international investors, this information would also be of interest to local investors.
