SABIA would like to inform all that the AGM that was planned for 28 August, had to be postponed due to a venue issue at the IDC. SABIA received new dates from the IDC today stating that the AGM will now take place on 30 October 2013, still at the IDC in Sandton.
SABIA has been working over the past 2 months with the DOE to host a 2 day biogas conference and the date has now been finalised for 18-19 September at the DBSA in Midrand. The World Bank through the DBSA in conjunction with the DOE will be sponsoring the conference, so there will be no charge. Approximately 60% of the 140 invited delegates will be from the public sector and the balance from the private sector. All paid up members of SABIA will receive an automatic invitation, so please ensure that you have completed and paid for your membership if you would like to attend the conference! Visit the SABIA website membership page for all info regarding application procedures – please indicate when you complete your application if you would like to attend the conference. All registered members, please contact [email protected] if you want to attend and you will receive an official invitation. Keep an eye on the SABIA website for conference details.
There will be an opportunity for a few SA companies directly involved in biogas products and services who have already been active in this sector in SA to exhibit at the conference – a manned table and brochures only. Again, this is for SABIA members only. If you are interested in exhibiting, please contact [email protected] with a short description of what biogas projects your company has completed in SA over the past 2 years and what products/services you offer. Potential exhibitors will be assessed by the conference steering committee and the selected companies will be notified. There will be no charge to exhibit.
